Maya is a midwife with ten years’ experience in different hospitals and models of care. She also has a Masters of Public Health. In 2021 and 2023 she got to experience birth herself, and is a mum to toddler Abigail and baby Rowan. 

When Maya started running Beer+Bubs Hobart, she took on the mantle from the awesome Ron Hastie. Initially Maya was motivated simply to improve birth support for women. She quickly realised that this is about so much more. Sharing your child’s birth and becoming a parent is a unique and transformative experience for partners. She’s pumped to help prepare men for this wild ride. 

Beer+Bubs Hobart welcomes non-binary and female partners, and all the content is incredibly relevant, but the general marketing is towards heterosexual men.
