Maya is a midwife and mum. She’s got over a decade of birth experience, in all its variations and locations. She’s also got a Public Health Masters. Her current interest is parenting, partly because of being in the thick of it herself with two toddlers!

Maya runs Beer+Bubs Birth sessions once a month. This is a really well-established program in Hobart, and is a full night of labour information, birth support tips and honest exchange. Over a pub meal of course. She has a ‘Return Dad’ come back to share his story, which is different each time, but always really well received. 

Maya is now running Beer+Bubs Parenting sessions every few months. This is a slightly different format- Saturday lunch and babies are welcome. Maya will share some of the broader concepts around parenting and relationships, as well as tips for specific phases. It’s even more chatty and casual than the birth session: dads share with one another, and topics will depend on the children’s ages and challenges.

*Beer+Bubs Hobart welcomes non-binary and female partners for both sessions, and all the content is incredibly relevant. However, the general marketing is towards heterosexual men and this is the usual demographic.
