Childbirth is not only about the ladies. Certainly, women have the task (and some might say privilege) of giving birth, but fathers are part of the journey too and are often left out when it comes to childbirth education, antenatal classes or prenatal preparation.
Well not anymore Sydney! Beer + Bubs has been running in Sydney pubs since 2004. It's a one-night session at the pub just for expectant fathers on how to support a woman through childbirth.
Expectant dads won't be bored to snores with more details than they need to hear about obstetric complications and what might go wrong. Beer + Bubs really focuses on the role of the support person and what they need to know to help a woman have an easier, faster labour.
Fathers-to-be will discover how to play an active role in the birth of their baby and will learn the secrets to success from an experienced birth attendant.
Beer + Bubs is generally run once a month in the Shire. There are also sessions held in other areas of Sydney including the northern beaches and inner west. Click here for details on Beer + Bubs in other Sydney pubs.

Beer + Bubs was so much more than expected. The pace was perfect, the format just right. I really enjoyed talking about birth and babies with other guys and all this from a bloke having his fifth baby!

Cheers to Childbirth: a dad’s guide to childbirth support by Lucy Perry, founder of
Beer + Bubs
This is the only childbirth guide written specifically for men with birth stories from high profile Australian dads and some not so high profile fathers. These stories show that no matter who a man is, he faces the same challenges and the next guy when his partner gives birth.
This is the only childbirth book that guys need to read.
