Childbirth is not only about the pregnant woman these days. Certainly, it's the ladies who have the task (and some might say privilege) of giving birth, but men are part of the journey too and fathers are often left out when it comes to childbirth education, antenatal classes or prenatal preparation.
Well not anymore Canberra! Beer + Bubs is a one-night session at the pub just for expectant fathers whether they are first timers or have been there before. It's a crash-course in how to support a women through childbirth, presented in a face-paced format in the friendly surrounds of the local pub with one of Canberra's most experienced and entertaining childbirth educators.
Expectant dads will not be bored to snores with more details than they need to hear about obstetric complications. Beer + Bubs really focuses on the role of the support person and what they need to know to help their partner to have an easier, faster labour.
Canberra lads have two venues to choose from an Tracey alternates between them from one month to the next.
Burns Club, 10 Kett Street Kambah

After last night I am REALLY excited, even a little nervous about the whole labour thing. But I’m sure we’ll manage, especially now you’ve give me some great tools to arm myself with. Thanks again and I really hope you continue this in Canberra because I truly believe it to be a valuable experience. Matt, Canberra
